Rhubarb cake and new trinkets

Paulina made a rhubarb cake when she got home from the pool at five. I was going to do it, but we were not finished with the garage yet. I probably posted this before, but here it is again.

When I was in Eureka yesterday, I stopped at the thrift store and found a few items. I could not resist the owl for Paulina and the two bottles for the kitchen. Now just to figure what to put in them. I have also added a picture to show why I cannot run a flower shop. Ha!

Owl says: No one can be wise on an empty stomach. Not sure what the holes are for, though.

Peony and daisies, pathetic effort at a flower arrangement. They do smell wonderful!

Garage cleaning and garden fixing

Today was the great garage clean out for the summer. We plan to head to Bismarck tomorrow. They have a place to drop off recycling and we need to pick up more potting soil.

The garage is clean, well mostly.

James also fixed up the corner flower garden and we filled it in with pea rock from the driveway, which we need to get moved out.

Northeast corner garden, finally pea rocked.

Here are a few other flower shots.
