Thunderstorms to flash floods

When I finally got home from the office and doing a service at the Health Care Center today, it was just about to rain. We actually cut the last song to only two verses to get out of the building and home quicker. James as always was so busy today. He washed down the entire porch and it looks fantastic. It smelled badly from the male cats who thought they needed to mark territory on our walls and doors and such. As I came outside to relax and visit with him the sprinkles started. We weren’t sure if there would be hail or severe winds or what would happen. The forecasters are all over with the predictions, so why take a chance. It seems we get our exercise in the summer by setting all of the pots and pretty items outside then dragging them to shelter every time the weather threatens something bad. Below are some of the pictures that I caught with the iPad. Hopefully they finish uploading before the first snowfall. Yes it is that slow today. I sort of doubt there will be a women’s softball game tonight. So much for supper at the Last Chance in Mobridge. Oh, how I love their burgers.

Oh my goodness, I posted then had to edit because I never explained the title. I didn’t take any pictures of the vegetable garden because I didn’t want to get soaked, but the rain is building up in the areas that we hoed last night like a flash flood. So what is being flooded besides the plants, and not even them so much? It is the gopher who has holes in several places in the garden. I suspect it is one great underground mansion with several doors. Well, he is being flooded today, so I would suggest he does not go looking for a wife to bring back to this location. Besides that, Sophia has been sniffing around the garden, and I anticipate she will be the end of Mr. Gopher soon. Well, now you know what the title was about.

Looking west and north, this view really shows the rain.
