Thursday of waiting around

Today was the big phone/cable/internet day. It started at 8 am when they knocked on the porch door. There were four at the door. The three young men got right to work on the wires. One outside, one in the basement by the equipment and the third checking out the hook ups. The fourth person was the one who set up the appointments. He asked a few questions about who lived where so he could schedule a few more appointments. After our house was finished, it was off to Aunt Glenda’s place. At her place they ended up going into the crawl space, but it is finished and she won’t have to do it when she gets back. Here is her house at the time.

The final house was the one over at our campsite. After that place was open, I went home to work on laundry. Later Paulina and I went back to check on it, sweep up and close up. We were a bit early, so to kill time we took a tour of the Spring Creek out at the bridge site close to town. Here is what we saw.

Picture above is looking into town from the bridge. My place is the one on the left just above three hay bales.

Above are some shots looking to the north on Spring Creek. The water is high, but sluggish, and typical of August.

These are looking south. Below are pictures of the spillway while standing down on that cement ledge. They show the foam of the water, how the spillway is cracking a bit, and there is a shot of Paulina, which will get me in trouble for taking it.

When we got home, this is what we found on the freezer. I guess we will be making a delivery to Vic and Nate soon.

My house looks so lonely!! But, everything is still so nice and green. Thanks again for all of your help and for the great pictures! Darion will be surprised to see the picture of my house where he stayed a few times when he was a baby!
