A day in Medora

Today is James’ birthday, and much as I want to do a shout out to him, I will use this post to share about yesterday in Medora.
For those who don’t know what I am talking about, Medora is on I-90 in North Dakota near the border of Montana. It is an old west sort of place and honors President Teddy Roosevelt who pretty much adopted that part of North Dakota. Anyway, there is a musical every night all summer, and we went. It was fun!

The pics above are from the road. What you are seeing is a small part of the North Dakota Badlands. We realized that we hit both Badlands in one year.

Above are pictures in downtown Medora. Vic is in the first picture, and Jess, Nate and Jaxon are in the other one. Jaxon insisted on watching the band playing in the park area.

All the pictures above are of Jaxon. The one with the train lamp is in an ice cream shop. One shows him displaying a sucker Nate bought him. There is a bug in it, for real, uck! The one by the garbage can is him looking for the rat. It is a joke back to being in Rapid and him not wanting to eat. I told him there is a rat in the garbage that loves kids meals.

I liked the flowers in the cute planter, and in the flower bed outside of the ice cream shop.

A couple of shots of the family while we were at supper. It was great service and good pizza. I have lots more pictures of the musical and other things, but those may have to wait for another day.
