Lilies in full bloom

It is July and the lilies are in full bloom. The day lilies are just starting and some of the Oriental lilies are already fading. I sort of missed the boat on showing the lily of the valley, but the weeding had not been done at the time they bloomed. Next year, I keep telling myself next year. Actually it will happen because we are moving the iris bed and I will be able to reach the lilies from both sides of that bed, and so the weeds can kiss their happy home good-bye. Here is what is going on in this flower garden and around it.

The rest of the pictures are just updates of places I have shown before. I am going to have to take a little better care of them as they are blooming now, and the temperature is finally turning up. We also have not had any rain for some time. It looked like a rain cloud was going to develop today when we were in Linton, but nothing did happen. It was so very humid today that it was hard to breath. We might not like it, but the corn sure grows better during these days.

Hope you enjoyed the brief tour. Come again when you don’t have to stay so long, Ha! That used to be our joke in college at the dorm when someone stopped by the room. Weird how I think of those things out of the blue some days.

I have some dark red/purple lilies that would compliment your light ones if you want to nab them before I leave. Also Jaxon wants to know if he gets some of that corn. đŸ™‚

Your flowers are just beautiful and the pictures don’t even do them justice! Oh! The beauty that only God could give us! What a wonderful world!
