Could this really be spring?

The temperature was in the 60’s today. It was wonderful. The snow has melted and the ground is drying up. I am not sure if the frost is completely out of the ground yet. It sounds like that is still a work in progress. I am thinking that if the frost were gone, we would not have puddles of water. Anyway, I went out tonight after we got home from track practice and took a few shots of the yard to let you all know what it is like here. I may have a photo or two from the weekend to add into the mix.

Saturday, Do you want to build a snowman?

Saturday, Do you want to build a snowman? As usual I took advantage of the sunshine to hang out clothes.

On Saturday, Paulina and Jaxon and James built some snowmen. Jaxon didn’t help much. Paulina through a snowball at him, and it hit him in the ear. It wasn’t supposed to hit as it did, and he was pretty upset about the whole thing. I think he really needed a nap, but in typical of our family, he was too nosey to sleep because he might have missed out on something.

Also on Saturday, Paulina and Jaxon had a little fun on the piano. He always wants to play on it. I suggested that she pretend to give him lessons. Nothing turns off a child for playing piano more than lessons. Sad to say, but true at our house. I wish someone had actually taken time to learn how to play, but we always seemed to lose the teacher or not find the funds to continue. I guess this is one of those things that you find the money if you feel it is worth it.

Here are a few more pictures from Sunday at the installation. Jaxon was in rare form showing off on these. I posted the one with everyone on the picture. These were without Tony. I don’t know why he wasn’t in the shots right away. Really does he have some plans that he isn’t sharing with us. He has officially reached the, “We are not going to like him” stage. That is where Nate was just before he joined us officially. We, as in James and I, decided long time ago that the best way to get a boy/man out of the family was to “like” him. Worked quite well a few times, pretty much to the advantage of our daughters. It is worth a try anyway.

Well a few more pictures of what it was like at our place today after track practice. It sure is a bummer getting home after 6:30 at night. It has been really fun working with the kids this year. I am impressed with how far they are coming along. I am excited to see how they perform on Thursday and Saturday this week. I am also wondering how I am going to fit in writing the Sunday morning sermon this week. I guess it will be an exercise in time management. Or maybe sleep deprivation. At least I don’t sub on Monday.

I bet that little guy would learn to play by himself if you get some kids music books from the library, or try some you tube videos of piano lessons and other kids playing!!
