Yesterday, Sophia went outside to enjoy the weather. She realized I was watching her and wouldn’t let me get too many shots.

Roger wouldn't get off the step. She must not like the feel of the snow on her toes.

This morning James and I attended the funeral of his sister-in-law’s father. We rode to the cemetery with his brother Tom and wife Cassie. We ate with them and James’ oldest sister, Elaine and husband Russ. At the cemetery, we passed the grave of my cousin’s wife, Mary. Lots of emotions, but that is how life works. The funeral today was for a very nice man, who lived 90 years without needing long-term care. How wonderful to be able to say that. As we left Pollock, the wind was picking up and the snow was blowing across the road, even sticking in a few places. The house was/is cool, and days like this make you wish there was carpet instead of hard wood in every room. I guess the trade-off is the cool floors in the summer. Below are some pictures of today.

Trying to show you the wind through the trees. Didn't work so well.

Here is the Ash tree that broke last fall. We couldn't reach it to take the branch down. I am afraid of what will happen to the tree.

Even the cats were happy to have some warm beds and couches to rest on. Roger was not really cooperating with the camera work, but that is how she is. I should have set the camera to a faster shutter so that I could have caught her yawning. Someday I will figure all of that out. Well, this is about all I have for now. Finally finished up the sermon for tomorrow. Hope it works. I am starting to think it is a little harsh. Oh well. catch you later.
