We had a dusting of snow last night. It didn’t look like a dusting at 4 a.m. when the cats wanted out. The snow on the upper porch was deep enough that I couldn’t open the screen door without causing an issue, so I just opened the regular door and let them sniff at the cold and the snow. This morning I let them outside on the main floor. At noon, they have been in and out nearly five times. I swear Sophia only goes out to see if she can than realizes how cold it is, and is right back inside. I nearly grossed out when I looked out and saw Tigee eating a dead mouse on the rug on the porch. I had just walked over that rug when I went to take the pictures I am adding below. Uck!!
I apologize for not commenting on anyone’s blog yesterday or today. I have to wait until James brings me a cord that works. He brought a cord last night and I charged up the computer just enough to use it sparingly. I have a few emails to check on, so this will be brief and shut down the computer to save the power. Yikes!
It will be a good reason to do some work around the house. I have lots of cleaning in our house besides peeling and apple saucing the rest of the apples. I am also hoping to peel a few potatoes and make a pot of scalped potatoes. I have some cream in the fridge that needs to be used today. I am thinking that the big cleaning project is going to be my bathtub that needs to have the little boy toys cleaned up and packed away. I am also going to go through all of the shampoo and cream rinse bottles and get rid of the empty ones. I bet it will be a major difference when it is finished.
OK, I will get to my big job for the day. I need to contact two magazines and ask why the magazines I ordered on-line and had a confirmation email on August 6, have not arrived in my USPS box as of Oct. 29. Six to eight weeks is well over. Enough, hope you have a good one and stay warm.

We haven’t had “S” yet, thank goodness! The wooly worms and Persimmon seeds are in opposition (lol).

6 months of white is just too much. Hopefully, we will still have some Indian summer and not have to look at snow for at least another month. At least what we got today has melted so come on sunshine, bring us a few more nice days of autumn. PLEASE!!

Yes it was/is sort of. I spent most of Tuesday running around with only a light jacket.
