Superbowl Sunday

Feb. 2, 2013

Feb. 2, 2013

The weather today was cloudy with a little sun here and there. There wasn’t any snow during the day, but James did go and scoop off the sidewalks from the last night. Victoria and Jaxon stayed again today and watched the Super Bowl with us. We spent most of the day cooking and eating besides watching the football game. We weren’t much into the fancy spread, just some simple food and clear out the fridge. We also weren’t die hards about which team should win. It was just fun to sit and watch a close game together and

Not much else to say just photos to show if I can get them to post right now.

We used the stone pan and dough made in the bread machine. Paulina made some sauce from canned tomatoes and tomato paste.

Toppings included Canadian bacon and mushrooms.

I also made a double batch of banana bread in a bundt pan.

Sister I can relate to the cold…and not rooting to hard for either teams last night, out Patriots lost the last game of the playoffs 2 weeks ago, not that I can tell you what is happening on the screen mind you:) I replyed to your comment on my blog but will also reply here to make sure you see it:)

PS thank you for listing me in your blogroll!
Well, I started off with a pattern (and completely botched it in the first row LOL!) but the pattern said that the first row od shells (3 dc ch1 and skip) was 10 shells, center point, 10 shells center point so the fist row was 20 shells in all. In the center shell you 3dc, ch2, 3dc, ch1 so that makes for 2 increases each round. That is how I got the opening size. For a doll poncho I think I would start with 6 or 8 shells stitches around…trial and error for the most part but you can go to lion brand yarn and look at the free patterns and see what size needles and yarn they are using for a project approximately the same size:) I’m not big on checking gauge either, I am a free-form crocheter LOL!

Thanks on the pattern. Do I take it you are a Patriot fan, that is totally me, though I really don’t like pro sports much at all. This is the first year I have watched the Super Bowl in years, mostly just the commercials and half time show.

Your food looks sooo yummy. You can be thankful you didn’t have to be on the road Sat. The roads were terrible and even the visibility wasn’t very good at times. We got another inch (at least) again today. Thank God we don’t have to be on the road!!
