Month two of 2013

Early morning on Feb. 1.

Early morning on Feb. 1.

I am working on a plan to post of picture of the out of doors each day in February. I had initially planned that it would be a sunrise photo, but let’s get realistic here. There will be days when I don’t want to get up and do a sunrise photo. Next I thought of a sunrise or sunset theme, that too felt like a “not so much.” Since today was virtually a no sun to be found anywhere day, I decided to just call it a post an outdoor photo every day sort of month. Let’s see if I make it. Hey, some days might even be night shots.

So being it is February, time to do some reflecting on how I did in January on goals for the year. So far, I am behind on completing projects. Ha! Tell me something I don’t know. Last night I sat and plotted out some of the things that I did accomplish in January and what I need to push into February and March. Next I started looking at April, May and the summer months. Yikes. That graduation thing keeps creeping in, which means we really have to get those photos finished for Paulina and print off some sizes that she can use to hand out.

Well, one of the things that I have for a goal actually counteracts a different one. One goal is to sub whenever possible to help out the band account, which I have been fortunate enough to do lately. The other goal that is getting missed is cleaning up the rest of the produce. We still have onions that need to be dehydrated and pumpkins that need to be boiled down and frozen or cooked into something. I also want to get the freezer cleaned out of things like bananas, zucchini and such. Actually doing some baking would help keep the house warm. I may have to get into those things at night when I get home. I did bake a couple of loaves of bread last night, but they just don’t rise the same when I can’t set the dough in the sunshine.

Well, here is an update on what the scarves look like. They are having a contest on which gets done first. Ha! How does that work?

Not really much more to report other than the temperature has improved a bit. You can see by the cloud cover that it is warmer. Probably means someone in the area is in for some snow soon, that is usually what happens. I guess it is fine as long as we can stay indoors and keep warm.

It sounds like you are really getting organized–at least in the planning department, Lucinda. Can you believe it’s February already? If your daughter graduates this spring you will be busy indeed. Those scarves look like they’ll be comfy.
